With a journey that began in 2014 as a passionate technician for 3D printers, Qusai Malahmeh has steadily navigated the world of digital fabrication and design thinking with dedication and vision. His educational milestones completing the Fab Academy in 2018 and earning a Diploma in User Experience in 2020 have strengthened his expertise across innovation, product development, and human-centered design.

Qusai’s early work as a 3D Printing Specialist at 3D MENA positioned him at the forefront of Jordan’s first 3D printing facility. He later co-established Luminus Shamal Start, one of Jordan’s leading incubators, which has supported 100+ startups, generated 300+ jobs, and facilitated $1.5 million in grants since 2016 — a testament to his role in empowering the startup ecosystem.

His leadership continued to grow as the Technical Team Leader at the Crown Prince Foundation’s TechWorks, where he spent two years advancing digital fabrication, innovation programs, and youth engagement across Jordan.

In 2022, he co-established menalab, a Jordanian startup dedicated to expanding access to machinery, hands-on education, and design services. At menalab, Qusai works at the intersection of emerging digital technologies, traditional tools, and creative problem-solving — enabling people to make, prototype, learn by doing, and turn ideas into real products.

Qusai has also contributed to national conversations on innovation as a panel member in the workshop “Moving Towards the Future in the Creative Industries,” organized by the Royal Hashemite Court.

He is also the co-author of the book
“التفكير التصميمي في عصر الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد”
(Design Thinking in the Age of 3D Printing), which explores the integration of human-centered design with digital fabrication tools in the prototyping process.
